Time Out Project

We provided grants directly to carers who care for an adult over 21 and live in West Lothian.

Over the last year we have been running a programme of short breaks (residential and day events) for carers, and people being cared for, from the Gypsy/Traveller community living in Perth & Kinross, Lothian and Argyll.

No Limits Kielder Holiday 2015

We are a multi- sportsclub for children and young people with a disability in the East Central Scotland area and we specialise in providing sporting and social opportunities. We also organise weekend activity breaks and week long activity holidays.

Blazing Saddles

FABB Scotland’s Cycling Project, Blazing Saddles, has changed lives in varied and positive ways from regions as far apart as Angus and West Lothian.

All of this has provided respite care for parents and carers. From trikes to tandems families are cycling out together and experiencing the outdoors in a way that is improving everyone’s health and well-being.

The Better Breaks Wiston Lodge Project provides activity days and residential respite experiences for children and young people with complex needs and/or disabilities.

To support the continuation of an annual multi-sport, pan disability residential sports camp held at Largs National Sports Centre in July 2014.

Demand for the camps is growing and we cannot expand places or provide additional equipment. The camps are three days long, very positive and intensive for participants and a great chance for carer respite.

The project offered a school holiday club over the spring and summer school breaks providing activities for young people who, have multiple support needs including severe/complex learning disabilities and autistic spectrum disorder and attend East Park School

A menu of activities was offered to each young person based on his/her expressed preferences.
