Our project provided activities, trips & breaks for children/young people aged 9-20 with disabilities and their parents/carers, on the Isle of Arran. These were mostly on the island, with some trips to the mainland. This brought families together and helped the children and young people have fun and make connections.

SPiN is a programme of inclusive dance workshops and performances for young people with disabilities and their carers. The workshops are facilitated by a team of dance and music practitioners as well as disabled dancers from Paragon’s older inclusive dance group, M3.

Dot to Dot encourages learning through the arts and play. This project was designed to introduce the benefits of being outdoors and learning in nature. We delivered weekly forest school sessions and a residential in easter where 50 adults and children joined us for a week of outdoor learning.

Our Summer Programme consisted of activities and coach trips for carers and families with children who have disabilities and additional support needs. Our summer trips included the following: Blairdrummond Safari Park, Glasgow Green Freewheel, Troon Beach, Portobello Beach and M&D’s Theme Park.
This service is for children and young people who have additional needs. The children are accompanied to an activity or their choice which in turn enables family to have a break from their caring role while their child has some fun. Additionally we hope to further the child’s social skills, confidence and independence.

CHAMPS brings children and young people with additional needs together to take part in a regular weekend club which will build skills, confidence and friendships and provide a break for parents and carers. The focus will be on themed activities, safe fun, friendship and new experineces.

Ten learners from the Kaimes and Woodlands school ski club had an amazing experience staying at Lagganlia Lodge and developing their skiing skills at Cairngorm Mountain whilst their families had respite from their caring role for a week.

Short breaks for carers, offering children and young people (aged 19 and under) with special/complex needs up to 6 hour breaks and overnight breaks of up to 48 hours, providing valuable leisure, recreational and socialisation opportunities for young people whilst giving families a break from caring.
