Indepen-dance provided 3 x weekly creative movement and dance sessions over 43 weeks for adults with learning disabilities in Glasgow. This offered participants the opportunity to take part in a dance activity and to develop friendships while giving their carers a regular.
We took young carers aged 8-25 years on three trips, sailing with The Ocean Youth Trust, outdoor activities at the Fordell Firs Centre and a Christmas party at Fordell Firs. We will also provided a suite of regular activites for Young Adult Carers.
Angus Carers organised a programme of events/activities specifically for male carers, designed to give them an opportunity to take a break for themselves, away from their caring role.
The activities included weekly drop in sessions and trips to venues and events throughout Angus and further afield.
Broomhouse Young Carers Project aimed to improve the quality of life for young carers age 7-25 years in South West Edinburgh. We provide a range of support for Young Carers through group work/peer support and residential’s, giving opportunities for respite and head space away from their caring role.
We provided weekend breaks and outings for adults aged 21 years plus who have substantial special needs, providing opportunities for our young adults to reduce their social isolation, try activities with support and thereby giving their carers a well deserved break.
