Short breaks for carers, offering children and young people (aged 19 and under) with special/complex needs up to 6 hour breaks and overnight breaks of up to 48 hours, providing valuable leisure, recreational and socialisation opportunities for young people whilst giving families a break from caring.
We run an evolving range of positive activities that will enable vulnerable children/young people under 18 to safely connect with their peer/social groups whilst their Parents/Carers receive regular respite breaks.
Our holiday provides an exciting week-long adventure for young people with complex needs who rarely have a chance for independence away from home. Our wide range of activities encourage them to try new things in a safe and happy environment whilst their families and carers have much needed respite.
The Cafe Holiday Club provides short breaks for carers and fun activities for disabled children and young people, promoting social integration and healthy lives through a wide range of activities including free play, sport, dance and drama
The project was for children and young people with disabilities, mental, physical and learning, together with their carers. At the Highland Cycle Ability Centre, Cawdor, and, through our Outreach programme.
We provide parent carers, the children they care for and the wider family group with time out from their routines to have fun together and socialise with other families. We also provide parent carers with some time out just for themselves, to relax, recharge, socialise and access support from peers.
The Caravan Projects Disability Respite Holiday Programme provides young people people (under 20) with disabilities and their carers from the most deprived 15% datazones in Glasgow with access to week-long respite holiday at Craig Tara in Ayr.
Our project delivered leisure activities for children and young people aged 12-18 affected by spina bifida and hydrocephalus and their parents/carers and siblings.
Support Workers will coordinate to overcome the accessibility and inclusion barriers to participation, and provide holistic family support.
We provided a range of short break activities for autistic children, their siblings and their parents in Edinburgh. These included online Circle Time with fun stories, weekly play sessions, monthly energetic soft play sessions, fun packed holiday programme during the summer holidays for families.
